specialty practice under the direction of Dr. Elena A. Christofides. We focus
on diabetes, osteoporosis, hypercholesterolemia, hypertension, polycystic
ovarian syndrome, pituitary disorders, male and
female hormone replacement and thyroid disorders.

Dr. Christofides is dual board-certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes and
Metabolism and Internal Medicine. She received both her undergraduate and
medical degrees from The Ohio State University. She completed her internal
medicine residency at Mount Carmel Medical Center
and her fellowship training in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at Louisiana State University
Medical Center.
She is a Fellow in the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists
(AACE), the highest honor in her specialty. She is the current past-President
of the Ohio Valley Chapter of AACE. She is also the chair of the Medical
Advisory Board of the Central Ohio Diabetes Association and a member of its
Board of Directors. She is affiliated with Mt. Carmel Hospitals and with
Specialty Select Hospitals.
